Retention Time Window Display Issue in Panorama hao chen2  2025-08-08 09:36:47

Dear Panorama Support Team,

We are currently experiencing an issue where the retention time window displayed in Panorama is too narrow and sometimes misaligned with the actual peak elution time when viewing chromatograms. Unlike Skyline, it does not appear possible to adjust the retention time window by scrolling to zoom in or out.

Do you have any suggestions on how to address this?

Additionally, we would like to know if it is possible to set the same retention time window across all replicates for consistent visualization.

For reference, I’ve attached EIC chromatograms from both Panorama and Skyline. These are from the same sample but different injections, and we expect the retention time window to be around 44 to 45 minutes in all cases.

Thank you for your help!

Thanks for attaching the screenshots. I was able to locate your Panorama folder and Skyline document.

The retention time window displayed in Panorama closely matches what Skyline shows for this peptide when Auto-zoom X-axis set to Best Peak. You are right that Panorama does not currently support zooming in or out within the chromatogram plot.

There is an option to Synchronize X-axis by expanding Display Chart Settings just above the chromatograms chart table (see attached screenshot). However, the Update button in the form is not being displayed. I apologize for the bug. We will try to fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you can add "&syncX=true" to the end of the URL in your browser. This will ensure that the same retention time window is displayed for all chromatograms.

Best regards,
Vagisha

Hi Vagisha,

Thank you for taking the time to investigate this issue and for sharing the screenshots. I appreciate the clarification on the retention time display and the details about the Synchronize X-axis option.

The workaround you suggested, adding “&syncX=true” to the end of the URL, works well on my end. I will use this method in the meantime and look forward to the fix in a future update.

Best regards,
Hao
