Organizing project in Panorama natbat  2017-10-31

Hellow

I would like to organize my project in Panorama more logically but do not know how to do it.
The idea is that I would like to have several subfolders under the same project. These subfolders would correspond to different experiments separately published in the scientific journals. Therefore, they have to have different access modes.
Historically it has happend so that the first experiments already published in JProtRes-2016 were not submitted in a subfolder. Now I would like to make a separate subfolder for these data (in open access)and move them there. I created this subfolder named "Phosphopeptides in Synechocystis_SRM verification". Could you move them there?
At present, I am writing another paper, and need to submit new experiment to Panorama with the access key for reviewers. The documnet is in subfolder named "SpkG in Synechocystis 6803 GT". However, I do not see the link to publish this separate subfolder.
Or should I re-publish the whole project?
Please advise:
Can you move the old data to the specified subfolder?
How can I get the access key for the reviewers to the subfolder "SpkG in Synechocystis 6803 GT"?

Best regards
Natalia

I would like to add that I have a problem with the Skyline file which I just apploaded to Panorama: to does not allow to be "shared". Could you look what causing it?

Hi Natalia,

It is a good idea to organize data for manuscripts in separate sub-folders. I have re-organized your folders so that this is what the folder hierarchy looks now:

 Phosphopeptides_Synechocystis
    -- Phosphopeptides in Synechocystis_SRM verification
-- SpkG in Synechocystis 6803 GT

You, as a folder administrator, have all the required permissions to create / delete sub-folders and also move or rename them. You can access these options from the "Admin" menu in the top right corner (in the dark blue menu bar). From the "Admin" menu select "Folder" > "Management". The "Folder Tree" tab should be selected by default. Here you should see options to delete, rename and move a folder. Let me know if you have any questions.

The data that was in the "Phosphopeptides_Synechocystis" folder before I moved things around has already been copied to Panorama Public, where is has open access.

Please follow the instructions here (https://panoramaweb.org/labkey/wiki/home/page.view?name=publish_to_panorama_public) to publish data in "SpkG in Synechocystis 6803 GT" to Panorama Public. You will also get reviewer account details as part of this process.

Can you please tell me a little more about how you got to the error that you are seeing? I think you are seeing this message because you already have a "Phosphorylation of Fd5_for submission_Nov2017.sky.zip" file in the location on your computer where you are trying to save it.

Thanks,
Vagisha

Dear Vagisha

Thank you for your prompt response and moving files to the correct forlder.
Concerning sharing:
I have the Skyline file in the open form in the working directory in my computer. When I uploaded the file to Panorama yesterday, the corresponding "shared" zip file appeared in this folder as expected. The sharing was done in the minimal form. After that, I wanted to have the "shared" file, but in the complete form, in another (publication) folder. However, I got the error message that I have sent you yesterday.
Today I started the computer, opened the same working Skyline file in the working dorectory, and easily "shared" the Skyline file to another (publication) folder. I forgot to put "complete" during sharing so it went well in the minimal form. Then I wanted to "share" it again, now in the complete form, with the modified filename (the name was the same but with addition _complete) I again got the error message (attached).

Best regards
Natalia

Hi Natalia,

I am unable to reproduce the problem on my desktop. Perhaps we can do a WebEx meeting so that I can look at what you are seeing on your computer? I will follow up with you separately over email.

Thanks,
Vagisha
