This folder contains raw data and Skyline documents for the Montipora capitata gamete bundle proteome project. In this study, we compared proteomics acquisition techniques (data dependent and data independent acquisition) with a coral gamete bundle dataset. We assessed proteome coverage and ability to detect proteomic signals of parent colony bleaching status between the two acquisition types. The accompanying DDA dataset can be found under access number PXD048357 on the PRIDE repository of the ProteomeXchange.
Parent M. capitata colonies were experimentally bleached in September 2017; genetic duplicates were maintained in control conditions. In June and July of 2018, naturally spawned gamete bundles were collected from previously bleached (n=6) and control (n=6) colonies. Proteins were extracted and tryptic digested with the S-trap protocol. Proteomics LC-MS/MS was performed on each sample using DDA and DIA.
