The system suitability data was collected over a period of three years by the Bereman lab at NC State University.  We have used this data to monitor various aspects of instrument performance on our Q-Exactive plus instrument, including:

  • General instrument performance, including LC and MS system suitability (mass measurement accuracy and LC retention time, peak area, etc.).
  • Evaluation of new technology (3 um C18 packed nLC column vs. 1.9 um C18 packed UHPLC column).
  • Trends in long-term instrument performance (monitoring of precursor/transition peak area ratio).
