Problem installing AutoQC wfondrie  2017-09-19 15:09:50

Hi Panorama team,

I'm having trouble installing AutoQC on our instrument computers. I get an error message saying that application download did not succeed. Just to be sure I've tried installing it alongside either Skyline-daily or the latest stable version.

When I look at the log, it seems that it times out when trying to download Skyline Runner. I've attached one of the logs here. Thank you for your help.

Best,
Will

Hi Will,

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble installing AutoQC Loader. It sounds like you have tried multiple times and on several instrument computers. Which version of the Windows operating system do you have on your computers? The log you attached says 6.1.7601.65536 (Win32NT). Is this what you are running on all your instrument computers? Have you tried installing on a Windows 7 (or higher) computer?

I will post a separate zip file containing the installer and the other required files later today for you.

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Vagisha,

Thank you for your quick reply. I've actually tried on 2 computers, both of which are running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro.
Hopefully the zip file will solve the issue.

Best,
Will

Hi Will,

Do you get the same error on the 64-bit Windows7 Pro computers?

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Vagisha,

Sorry for the lack of clarity. The log file I uploaded originally was from one of the Windows 7 computers. The two computers mentioned above are the only ones I've tried installing AutoQC Loader on.

Just to confirm, does the SkylineDailyRunner.exe file exist at the address indicated in the log file? (http://skyline.gs.washington.edu/software/AutoQC/daily/Application Files/AutoQC-daily_1_1_0_11134/SkylineDailyRunner.exe)

Best,
Will

Hi Will,

Thanks for the clarification! Yes, the file does exist. If you type the URL in a browser window are you able to download the file?

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Will,

I am attaching the zip file with the installer. This is for AutoQCLoader-daily, to be used with Skyline-daily. This is an "unplugged" installer so will not automatically check for updates unfortunately.

Let me know if this works. I will try and figure out why you are getting errors with the click-once installer.

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Vagisha,

That unplugged version installs with any issues. Thank you for your help.
