set password does nothing Tobias Kockmann  2017-07-20 23:44:11

Hi there,

I am trying to set a pw for a new user, but nothing happens after hitting the return key. Who should I contact?

A more general question: We are using autoQC and during the test phase all uploading of data was done using my personal account. Now, I would like to release the system to the whole group. Which user status is required for

- uploading data to autoQC folders?
- adding annotations/guide sets?
- viewing the data

Greetings,
Tobi

Hi Tobias,

Are you trying to set password in PanoramaWeb? I can help you with that. Could you please describe to me the steps you are following to set the password?

Here are the minimum permission requirements for:
- uploading data to autoQC folders? -- Editor Role
- adding annotations/guide sets? -- Editor Role
- viewing the data -- Reader Role

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Tobias,

That is odd. Have you tried it on different browsers / computers? If you try this on Google Chrome or Firefox can you please open the developer tools console to see if there are any errors after you click "Set Password"? On Chrome, you can open the console from the menu "More Tools" > "Developer Tools" or Ctrl+Shift+I. The shortcut for opening developer tools in Firefox is also the same (v.52.0.2).

Thanks,
Vagisha

Hi Vagisha,

I got it to work. No clue what is different now (is tried using firefox and chrome before). Another problem:

When I look at the following page

https://panoramaweb.org/labkey/project/Functional%20Genomics%20Center%20Zurich%20-%20Proteomics%20%26%20Protein%20Analysis%20Group/autoQC%20Server/QEXACTIVEHF2/begin.view?pageId=Annotations

using the novel users (Reader group) group some of the QC annotations are not properly displayed anymore. Their annotation type becomes <1>, <2>, ... instead of have having the correct labels and they also disappear from the QC plots.

Greetings,
Tobi

Hi Tobias,

Sorry for the late response. I tried logging in as the two read-only users (and the "Users" group) in this folder but I was able to see all annotation types. Are there any specific annotations where you noticed this problem?

Thanks,
Vagisha
